Would a cheek augmentation help me achieve a more angular/defined face shape?

I'm a 27 year old male and am seeking to improve the overall look of my face. I am unhappy with my midface, but i'm not exactly sure why. I feel as though a buccal fat pad removal may help reduce the appearance of chubby cheeks (especially when I smile). I also am considering a cheek augmentation, as my cheeks sit very low on my face and also cause jowls. My face seems to sag around that area, & also looks to be assymetrical. What procedures can be done to improve the overall aesthetic? Thanks!

Cheek fillers would definitely help to give you a more chiseled and well-defined mid face. The filler is placed on the periosteum (very deep, on the bone), so the results are uniform and natural. There are several filler options that would work for you including Voluma, Lyft and Radiesse. You would require 1-2 syringes for a result that will give you a natural contour. I would recommend Radiesse for a male as the filler is calcium-based and has a firm texture to give a more masculine result. The shape of the male face has some subtle differences when compared to the female face so I would make sure to go to an injector that has experience injecting males to avoid a feminizing result.

Cheek augmentation appears to be beneficial for you but not just any cheek augmentation. Most men seek the high cheekbone look which has a very specific midface shape that parallels the horizontal axis of the cheekbones rather than creating the classic apple cheek round effect. This requires custom cheek implant designs which can also address the cheek asymmetry that you have. Adding a buccal lipectomy below this type of cheek  augmentation helps create a more defined facial shape.
