Good morning and thank you for your question! If you are referring to the Perfect Derma Peel by Bella Medical then it would depend on the number of passes performed and the pressure used when the peel was applied. If the peel was applied correctly, meaning it was vigorously rubbed on the skin with a saturated 2x2 gauze pad, then it should have been a medium depth peel. The Perfect Derma is a blend of TCA, Kojic Acid, Retinoic Acid, Phenol, Vitamin C, Salicylic Acid, and Glutathione. It is great for hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and acne, among others. It is great for all skin types and colors. Some patients will end up not "peeling" or "flaking" depending on how well they take care of their skin. Just because you did not peel does not mean the peel did not work. I would follow up with your Esthetician. Best of luck! For more information please feel free to visit our website!
Thank you for your question. It’s not clear what type of chemical peel you had, but superficial or “lunchtime” peels often cause little to no peeling. Many people get superficial peels in a series over a few weeks or months for the best results. If you had a deeper peel, you would most likely notice some peeling by now. Follow up with your aesthetician if you’re unsure of the type of peel you had.
There are many types of peels. Without letting us know which type of peel you had its hard for us to determine why you didn't peel. Many people do NOT peel with superficial or "lunchtime" peels because they don't even fully penetrate the first layer of the first layer of the skin (stratum corneum). I would find out what kind of peel you had.
Thank you for your inquiry. This is normal is some cases. Perhaps the percentage of acids is not high enough. Please follow up with your aesthetician and discuss possible augmentation in percentage.
