Thank you for your question. The "shiny skin" seen in the early post-operative period is a result of the skin being pulled tight to stretch over the surface of the implant. This will diminish over the next several weeks and is nothing to worry about. Please discuss all concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon. Also, make sure you follow all of your plastic surgeons post-operative instructions regarding level of physical activity and use of a support bra. Hope this helps and good luck with your recovery.
This is the skin stretching, and it does go away. There is nothing about it that is a problem. Be patient.
It is likely because the skin needs to stretch to accommodate the implant. Best of luck. Regards,
The shiny skin appearance you mention, occurs from the skin being pulled taut. The skin stretches and is pulled very tight to accommodate the breast implant. This is what leads to the "shiny" skin. It helps to apply moisturizer to the breast but, you should avoid any direct application of the moisturizer or lotion to the incision. The "shiny" skin resolves after some time; this time frame will vary from person to person. Thank you for your question.
Your breasts have expanded after surgery, additionally you have swelling associated with the surgical procedure. These will contribute to the effect you are experiencing. Some patients will peel like they have had a sunburn. All can occur and are not worrisome.

It seems that your left breast is slightly larger than the right; It also seems that you have more of a lift on the right side which will result in more swelling on that side; I would give it at least one more month for symmetry to improve.
Thanks for providing your photos, that is helpful. It does not appear that you have tubular breasts and a breast augmentation would be a nice addition. Weight loss would be helpful since it would likely make you feel even better about your new body shape after your augmentation but there is no...
You are still very early in the post-operative period. It typically takes 3 - 6 months for the swelling to subside and and implants to settle into proper position. Swelling usually accounts for 10 - 15% of the initial post-operative appearance. The implants may swell asymmetrically, as in your...
Thank you very much for your question. From the photos, it appears as though you extra fat in the bra roll/armpit area. If you lost weight, you may or may not preferentially lose weight in your breast/armpit area (it's really not possible to do "targeted weight loss" through exercise). ...
Transaxillary approach is through the arm-pit. It is the most sophisticated technique. Armpit incision is a wonderful scar-free option for breast augmentation. Silicone or saline implants can absolutely be inserted through the arm-pit, don't let anyone tell you that is not an option. There is r...
