When does the swelling go down after a FUE procedure?

It is best to contact your doctor about post operative care and issues since each doctor has a different regimen.  Swelling may last up to one week.

It is common to experience swelling in the forehead and around the eyes after a hair transplant procedure that focuses on the hairline and anterior scalp.  Swelling begins on the evening of surgery and usually resolves 5 days to 7 days later.  There are medications and interventions (icing and massaging the forehead, sleeping at a 45-degree reclined angle, etc.) that can make the swelling go away faster.

Swelling after any hair transplant when it is in the frontal area, goes down in less than one week.
