I have had this insecurity for so long, wearing braces since I was 18 now I'm 25 because I felt like there was no results, my smile is not straight, one of side of the face is uneven. I feel like my left side of the face is more round. What can I do to fix this ? Botox ? Surgery?
Answer: Buccal fat removal You are a good candidate for buccal fat removal. This will help to decrease the fullness in your cheeks. More can be take out of left side, to help even out your appearance. Another possibility could be a fat transfer or small cheek implant on the right side, to help counter balance the extra fullness on the left side. Another option may be a genioplasty. This will elongate your face and fix any asymmetry you have in your chin and jawline, which in turn would help the overall balance of your face.

Answer: It is necessary to find a solution depending on the cause The uneven face may be caused by the muscle or adipose tissue on your face. First of all, it is necessary to find and evaluate which source it is from, and then a solution can be found. 7 years of your orthodontic treatment is a very long time and I recommend seeing another orthodontist. If your teeth cannot be corrected with orthodontics, some prosthetic solutions can be tried. The solution of irregularities in teeth and disproportion in your face may be different, but first the cause of this should be evaluated. I would recommend that another dentist evaluate some criteria such as occlusion.

Answer: Seek another orthodontic opinion ASAP Yes, I do see what you are referring to. It looks like there is some masseter hypertrophy on one side. Perhaps your bite is not evenly touching and there is harder contact on that side. Why have you been wearing braces for 6 years? That is an awfully long time. Are you not compliment and haven't been returning to the orthodontist regularly? I think it is time for a serious bite evaluation and some xrays and a consultation appointment with another board certified orthodontist to evaluate your case. Something is not right with your facial features and your orthodontics Please seek another specialists opinion before serious harm is done to the roots of your teeth which can begin to shorten from too much pressure over too long a period of time. And no Botox or fillers They will only worsen your problem and confuse anyone diagnosing your real situation. Good for you for observing this!! Now go look for a good orthodontist with good reviews in your area.
