After you remove drains how long should you wait to start lymphatic massages?

How long after tummy tuck/lipo surgery should you wait to get lymphatic Massages? Can you get them with your drain in or should you wait until after?

Your surgeon is the best person to answer this question. If he/she said it was ok to start then do so. The masages may reduce your pain.

First of all I would do anything that wasn't approved personally by your own surgeon. Having said that, lymphatic massage for hastening convalescence is basically nonsense. Massage it's to vigorous can actually create tissue damage and should be avoided.

Hi.. thank you for the question... This will depend on your evolution, and how the swollen goes, in my practice i indicate my patients from 5 to 10 depending how they are going.
