Is it necessary to have someone to take care of me for recovery after a Brazilian Butt Lift?

I am considering getting a BBL. I am a bit reluctant to tell my friends and family and therefore, wouldn't really have anyone to help take care of me for the first couple days. Is it necessary that I have someone around to take care of me after a BBL or can I manage on my own?

It is imperative to have responsible adult take care if at least the first 48 hours. This is critical time when you will start to slowly learn how to lay properly, sit properly so that the recently transferred fat cells are not deprived of their oxygen supply. Plesae don't underestimate this help during this crucial period of your recovery. Good luck

I have nurses available to help take care of all of my out of town patients.  This should not be a problem with having your surgery.  Find a plastic surgeon who performs hundreds of BBLs each year, has great reviews, and has great before and after pictures.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA

It is very important to have someone to take care of you during the first couple of days and most patients find it much easier with help for a longer period of time. If you are not comfortable asking friends or family, hiring a nurse or medical assistant is an option.

Yes, in my surgical suite we do the procedure as an outpatient and the patient has to go home with someone. It is a good idea to have someone stay with your the first night to help you get around and assist you with getting up, and eating, dressing care, etc..

After this type of procedure you do not need a nurse to help you heal,You will only have a small to moderate pain , and the pain medication will help you.By the 3rd day you will only have the type of pain you have after going to the gym the day before. You can have companion ship top help you with this. I and other surgeons provide this service for the out of state patients that do not have any help with them. Many surgeons, including myself, offer online virtual consultations where you send us your photos and we can estimate the cost. I, like many surgeons, also offer free consultations so that you can be examined and given the most accurate quote. Choose a board certified plastic surgeon who has done a ton of Brazilian Butt Lifts and has privileges to do this surgery at a local university hospital. This says his credentials have been checked out by fellow Drs. All surgeries carry risk, talk to your plastic surgeon and choose one wisely.

BBL alone, not combining it with other surgeries doesn't need lots of care, there are a lot of recovery homes who will assist you on your post op cares. Help is always better.
