It was rather deep (it bleed and it was all raw). I cleaned it out with Hydrogen Peroxide and used Neosporin on it for a few days with a band aide. Was the wrong thing to do? Drawing from prior abrasions on my body from being an athlete, I have a high tendency to hold hyperpigmentation from the injury. It’s been almost 3 weeks, and the area is significantly redder in coloration than the rest of my forehead. I’m trying to avoid hyperpigmentation of the area & permanent noticeable discoloration!

You have some options to improve your discoloration. I would recommend starting with topical ligthtening creams which can be prescribed by a physician. Lasers can be used to enhance and improve the results of the darkening as well. Often the combination of treatments works best.
