HI,
After Cosmelan1, two weeks ago I was using Cosmelan 2 + Hydra-vital factor K 3x a day, but the skin of the face was very red, sore and crack. Doctors are advised to do more Hydra K, but the result was not. Third week instead of the Hydra K I am using Hydrocortisone 1% of the face, the face is not the crack but red and purple tint. My skin is extremely dry, or can I continue to use Hydrocortisone 1% of the face and for how long? Are the doctor tells me to? Maybe I can post as Cosmelan2 use my usual cream?
MANY THANKS

Our office specializes in hyperpigmentation problems. We currently employ the Melarase cream system which includes Melarase AM and Melarase PM used twice daily. Raffy Karamanoukian MD FACS
Treating PIH and melasma with cosmelan may make your skin hypersensitive. I would suggest Melarase creams and Elevase Moisture Booster as part of the post-treatment regimen to reduce redness and pigmentation risk.

You can use Cosmelan 2 without the mask, but that's like having chocolate milk without the chocolate - you'll be mssing the most important part of the recipe!
Cosmelan mask will contain various levels of hydroquinone plus some peeling agent. This is what preps your skin...
