Can I treat my nasolabial fold shadow with fillers or a plasma pen? (Photo)

folds need morpheus, fillers, and threads. yes plasma pen can help but will not give you the biggest change.

at home peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify along with dermarolling (EmerageSkin roller with anteage AERIFY MD ampules weekly, see link) should be started now to prevent further aging.

For facial rejuvenation, I would suggest a combination approach of
1) skin care with products and PRP/microneedling
2) PDT light therapy few times a month with growth factors
3) laser treatments like clear and brilliant regularly and a few times a year Fraxel/halo Viva, Co2/Erbium
4) Sculptra injections a few times a year for collagen production with fillers like juvederm/restylane/belotero/radiesse/bellafill
5) thermage/ultherapy for yearly skin tightening with or without PDO or cone based instalift threads for lifting
6) botox every 2-3 months to stop movement lines and prevent lines at rest
7) deep microneedling RF like Fractora/morpheus8 for tightening of the skin
8) Vascular laser like vbeam/excel V or BBL forever young treatment every quarter (3-4 months)

In general, treating the upper outer cheek with a more robust filler, such as Voluma XC or Restylane Lyft, is typically the answer to not only improving age-related volume loss in the cheeks, but also to improving secondarily the development of smile lines, However, at least from the photo provided here, it does not appear that there is significant cheek volume loss. If this is indeed so, then directly treating the smile lines with a less robust filler, such as Belotero Balance, would seem to be the most logical, efficient and cost-effective approach. You would be wise to be sure to consult with a board certified aesthetic physician with experience and expertise and be sure to ask to see his/her personal before and after photos of smile line treatment with fillers. I would avoid using an aggressive treatment such as plasma pen for your naso- labial groove. Instead I would treat you with 1 syringe of Voluma in your cheeks above the fold which will correct your concerns. It is essential that you choose your expert injecting physician very carefully. A filler like Juvederm will eliminate the appearance of your nasolabial folds. You likely would only need one syringe to get a nice result. Consult with your doctor to confirm which filler is good for you!
