So unfortunately My breast have been like this my entire life, I'm 29 years old and I've been denied by 5 doctors for a breast augmentation without a real explanation. 1 doctor even told me i would need multiple surgeries. Im truly at a lost here and I don't know what to do. Having my breast shaped like this has truly taken a toll on my personal life throughout the years. Can my breast ever look normal ?
Answer: Your breast can certainly be fixed. Hello! Thank you for your question. I am sorry that you are facing difficulties due to your breasts condition, but they can certainly be fixed. I would advise subglandular implant augmentation on both breasts and fat grafting. On more ptotic and tuberous one (right breast) I would perform parenchymal scoring and circumvertical mastopexy, and on the left breast – areolar reduction. It will result in solving the asymmetry and shape improvement.

Answer: Are my breasts tuberous? Your breasts are not tuberous, but you do have asymmetry. The larger breast can be downsized and lifted, making it more even with the other. Both can be augmented to a volume you desire, however augmentation alone without the lift would not give you a good result. Visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for a consultation.

Answer: Mini lift Your breasts are not tuberous. Augmentation alone will not solve your problem. I recommend a mini lift on the larger breast. This will reduce the areola size to match the opposite breast and elevate the breast more higher and medial. At the same time, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired on the small breast. Implants should be your last choice. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breast augmentation Thanks for your question! Your breasts will be a challenge. In my opinion, there is no way to do your surgery in one stage. I agree that you would need multiple procedures; however, I think there is an opportunity to get you a nice result with time. Please seek an opinion from a board-certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!

Answer: Tuberous breasts Dear Nycdoglover, tuberous breasts are not simply small or underdeveloped breasts. The appearance of the breast can range from mild to severe, and typical traits include: enlarged, puffy areola, rather wide spacing between the breasts, very little breast tissue, sagging, higher than normal inferior breast fold, and narrow base at the chest wall. The type of surgery best for you will depend on the severity of your condition. My preferred technique for tuberous breast correction involves a multistep procedure where the breast tissue is released in a radial pattern to prevent herniation into the areola and placement of a custom implant size is in the breast to allow appropriate expansion of the breast in the restricted dimensions. This can often be done in a single procedure but sometimes may require two surgeries. That said, it is best that you visit a board-certified plastic surgeon for an in person examination. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.
