When getting filler to add volume to the jaw, can it be injected under the masseter muscle? I am looking for volume more than definition of the jaw and don't want it to look artificial. thanks!

Answer: Masseter Thank you for your message! Typically jaw fillers are placed upon the bone along the jawline and not injected into the muscle. Botox can be injected into the muscle to help slim the appearance of the masseter or help with the chewing/grinding sensation associated with TMJ! Hope this helps!

Answer: Jawline filler Filler can be injected on bone at the posterior aspect of the jawline. Care should be taken to make sure the filler is not injected into the parotid gland itself.
