I am a 55 year old female, 115 lbs, active with no health issues. I am having sagging skin around my mouth. I had Sculptra on the left side of my face about 9 months ago and typically have that every year and a half. I am not interested in having a lower face lift but want to know what I can do to help plump that sagging area.
Answer: RF Skin Tightening Hello Julie30011 and thank you for your question! Based on your goals and history with Sculptra, both Morpheus8 and Sylfirm X are excellent non-surgical options to address the sagging skin around your mouth. Morpheus8 uses deep radiofrequency microneedling to stimulate collagen and elastin, helping to tighten and firm the lower face with results that improve over time. It’s particularly effective for deeper laxity and can complement the collagen-building effects of Sculptra. Sylfirm X is a more advanced RF microneedling treatment that uses pulsed wave technology, offering a gentler approach with minimal downtime. It’s great for improving skin texture, fine lines, and mild sagging while enhancing overall skin quality. If your main concern is deeper sagging, Morpheus8 may be the stronger choice; for skin refinement and subtle lift, Sylfirm X is a great option. You can also consider combining both treatments for enhanced, long-lasting results. As always, be sure to research and find an experienced provider, as the success of these treatments lies largely within the hands of the person performing the treatment! Best of luck! Answer: Non-Surgical Solutions for Sagging Jowls: Options for a Youthful Appearance For addressing sagging skin around the mouth and plumping the jowl area without resorting to a surgical facelift, there are several non-surgical options you might consider: 1. Dermal Fillers: Hyaluronic acid fillers, such as Juvederm or Restylane, can be used to add volume and lift to the jowl area. They provide immediate results and can last from 6 months to over a year, depending on the product used. 2. Sculptra Aesthetic: Since you have previously used Sculptra, continuing with this treatment can help stimulate collagen production over time, improving skin structure and volume. Discuss with your provider the possibility of additional sessions to address the jowl area specifically. 3. Radiofrequency Treatments: Treatments such as Thermage or Profound RF use radiofrequency energy to heat the deep layers of the skin, stimulating collagen production and tightening skin. These can be effective for mild to moderate sagging. 4. Ultrasound Therapy: Ultherapy is a non-invasive procedure that uses ultrasound to lift and tighten the skin by stimulating collagen production. It is particularly beneficial for mild sagging and can offer gradual improvements over several months. 5. Thread Lifts: A thread lift is a minimally invasive procedure where temporary sutures are used to lift the skin. It offers immediate results with minimal downtime and can be a good option if you're looking for a subtle lift. 6. Skincare Regimen: Incorporating products with ingredients like retinoids, peptides, and antioxidants can support skin health and improve elasticity over time. 7. Consultation with a Specialist: It's best to consult with a dermatologist or plastic surgeon who can evaluate your specific needs and recommend a tailored treatment plan. Each of these options has its own benefits and considerations, so discussing them with a qualified professional will help you decide the best approach for achieving your desired outcome. If you have further questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out.

Answer: Jowl help You may have the best outcome from more than one treatment method. Renuva is an option that helps replace age related volume loss. When injected you will have the effects of typical HA filler, but what makes Renuva special is that over time the product is replaced by your own fat cells. This gives longer lasting results. You can also consider FaceTite which is a minimally invasive procedure that does not require general anesthesia. It uses RF technology to tighten skin. You can learn more by visiting my website or a provider near you.

Answer: Consider A Nonsurgical HA Filler Facelift For Treating Facial Sagging & Jowls A profile view would have been very helpful in here. However, at least from the front face view provided, it appears that a number of issues can be treated nonsurgically via the use of appropriately selected robust HA fillers properly injected. For example, volume deficit in the lateral portions of the mid-cheek can be corrected with the use of a robust HA volumizing filler. Properly injected by an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist, this can create a more desirable, heart-shaped oval face, as well as improve secondarily both the under-eye tear troughs and diminish the smile lines. The use of an appropriate, robust HA contouring filler in the region of the posterior angle of the jawline and along the jawline would likely further diminish the sagging there and better define and straighten the jawline itself. And, finally, IF still necessary, a robust HA lifting filler can be used to straighten the downturned, marionette lines around the corners of the mouth I gave up using Sculptra many years ago because it was expensive, the results were not immediate, and treatment eequired about three separate treatment sessions in order to achieve results. It's original advantage was that the final result lasted longer than other injectable products at the time. But, subsequently, many more robust HA fillers were approved that offered immediate results after just one treatment and gave rise to quite prolonged durations of results. You would be wise to make sure to consult an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist filler expert.Hope this helps and best of luck.

Answer: Jowling Hi! This is a great question! As we age, we lose collagen and support of the skin, and this usually results in skin laxity, wrinkles, and jowling. It is great that you have done sculptra! This would be recommended for you, but please ensure that you are having enough sculptra injected to help address your concerns. As a very general rule of thumb, about 5 vials of sculptra should be used for your concerns, considering your age. In addition, a comprehensive treatment plan of: forehead and neck botox, cheek and jawline fillers, perioral fillers, and collagen boosting treatments (RF microneedling) should be implemented to help thicken/tighten the skin.
