I worry that you are pushing things too quickly and returning to work less than 48 hours after surgery is concerning.  I do not permit my patients to drive that soon after surgery.  As many patients are still taking pain meds, I don't encourage them to be in an office setting where they need to make business decisions.  I think that you would be better off calling out and giving yourself adequate time to recover.  Whether in the office or not, many patients find the sitting position uncomfortable.  Good compression can help, as well as some stretching and frequent short strolls.  Best of luck with your recovery.  

You have swelling, which can last 3-6 months after your procedure. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling and improve comfort. Thank you for your question. It sounds as though you are pushing things to return to work. I usually recommend taking 3-5 days off following liposuction of any form. Frequent lymphatic massages will help to reduce your swelling and discomfort.
