I dislike my nose’s dorsal hump. However, I don’t think surgery is realistic for me. I almost went through with it once but I worried about the cost, looking too different, and was afraid I would be seen as vain. I do want to feel more confident about my profile, though. I have seen videos of people with my nose that get a “facial balancing” with nose filler and I like the way they look. Do you think my bump is a good candidate? Also, any other feedback for balancing is welcome!
Answer: No you need a Rhinoplasty (Nosejob) Surgery | Facial Plastic Surgery | Expert | Revision | Non-Surgical | Filler | Liquid Rhino Hello and thank you for your question! Unfortunately even though non-surgical nosejobs are popular, they are ALMOST ALWAYS done on patients who are poor candidates for it, and who would have much better results with a proper surgical rhinoplasty. For your nose, with the prominent nasal bridge, dorsal hump, overall large size, and over-projected tip, you would actually be a perfect candidate for surgery. Filler would only make your nose appear larger and longer, and would not be well-balanced with the rest of your face. Many surgeons overlook key techniques that can otherwise soften the appearance of underlying structures, significantly improving tip symmetry and refinement, and resulting in beautiful and natural appearing results. These specialized maneuvers require a high level of expertise and experience, which most surgeons simply do not have. Given your history, an open septorhinoplasty would be the best approach to precisely reshape your nasal tip, refine the bridge, and restore overall balance. In addition to reshaping your nose aesthetically, your septal cartilage (or an alternative graft material) would be used to create structural grafts, reinforcing key areas like the columella (the strip of tissue between your nostrils). This is crucial to maintaining long-term symmetry and preventing future distortions. Rhinoplasty is one of the most technically demanding procedures in all of plastic surgery—millimeters make all the difference. If a surgeon is only performing one or two rhinoplasties per month, they simply do not have the level of experience necessary to achieve the best possible result. Your nose defines your entire face—this is NOT a surgery to leave in the hands of just anyone. I have had extensive training in complex rhinoplasty, working under one of the highest-volume rhinoplasty surgeons in the world (who performs 1,000+ nose surgeries per year). If you’re serious about getting the best possible result, I’d be happy to see you for a consultation (Virtual or In-Person) where we can discuss your goals, perform a detailed examination, and create a customized plan for your ideal nose. I look forward to helping you achieve the refined, balanced nose you deserve! Dr. Donald Groves Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon

Answer: A permanent non-surgical nose job may be considered for camouflaging a small dorsal hump. In our practice, we specialize in both rhinoplasty surgery and permanent non-surgical nose jobs. Based on your photos, you appear to have a wide nasal appearance with a Droopy tip and an over-projected bridge appearance. Well performed rhinoplasty surgery should lead to a narrower less distracting and more feminine nasal appearance that blends in. You should not look like a different person. Personally, I would recommend a surgical approach for making your nose smaller and less distracting. If surgery is something you would not consider however a permanent non-surgical nose job is an option in your situation, depending on your examination. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Answer: Rhinoplasty Hello, A liquid rhinoplasty can help in masking the hump on the dorsal of your nose. The down side of it is that it might overprotect your nose. A surgical preservation rhinoplasty procedure might be a good option for you if you want a better natural look. It is better that you consult a facial plastic surgeon and discuss the options and how your nose will look after.

Answer: Liquid rhinoplasty Thank you for your question. For patients like yourself who are hesitant about surgery, filler is a great option for making changes that aren't permanent. Most commonly it is used to disguise a dorsal hump, but it can also be used to make the tip appear lifted. Filler in this region typically lasts about a year. I hope this is helpful, and all the best to you! -Dr. P

Answer: Nonsurgical rhinoplasty Nonsurgical rhinoplasty would be able to create a straighter profile and frontal view for your nose. The limitation with nonsurgical rhinoplasty is that it can only add volume, but can not take any away. By slightly raising the bridge of your nose above the hump it will camouflage the hump. A rhinoplasty specialist will be able to comprehensively address the issues you have with your nose. While there are a variety of approaches and techniques employed by various surgeons, it is up to you to do your due diligence to find a rhinoplasty specialist in order to achieve the best results possible. Good luck! @drdonyoo
