I often get a remark on them whenever I see an eye doctor. Does this contribute to the "sunken" appearance and dark circles? I've read that temporary fillers can remedy this issue, but I'm looking for a more permanent solution such as fat grafting. What is the ballpark cost for such a procedure?
Answer: Facial Fat transfer results--add prp, water-assisted harvesting Yes, fat transfer can be used to improve this, but keep in mind, fat transfer technique is important for successful fat transfer. I recommend water-assisted fat harvesting which gives pure fat to transfer and combine with platelet rich plasma (PRP) to get the most viable and sustainable fat cells. I recommend adding lasers and microneedling/prp to help improve dark circles. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Fat grafting #fattransfer #microfatgrafting #facialcontouring #recovery #eyelids Dear lotr17Thank you for your question and photo! Fat grafting is excellent for facial contouring , especially around the eyes and hollows under the eyes. It is hard to determine from your photo- exactly your concerns. Answer: Under eye hollows Hello! The lower eyelid skin is the thinnest skin on the body. My strong preference is filler for under eye hollows as fat, implants or tissue can be lumpy- and that can be permanent. While filler is temporary, it lasts years in that area and is well worth the investment (MUCH less that the surgical alternative). Good luck!

Answer: Sunken Eyes Hollowness around the eyes can be best improved with fat grafting. However, one has to be careful about augmenting the eyelids on someone who has deep set eyes which can make the eyes to look even deeper. Your eyes can be improved with correction of droopiness, specially on the right and laser resurfacing of the lower lids.

Answer: Eyes yes, both temporary filler‘s and fat work very well to improve the contours around the eyes and may also help with the dark circle. I would suggest seeing a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area who is familiar with the technique and I can advise you as to the best option for you. Typically these procedures will range anywhere from 500-3000 depending upon whether you choose fillers for fat. Best of luck! Dr. Boschert
