Does anyone have experience with fat transfer, sculptra or another injectable into metatarsal or heel areas for fat atrophy?

I have been injecting heels for a long time now, silicone works best but is off-label and permanent so any issues can be life long.  Bellafill or radiesse can work as well but will need to be repeated.  Please see an expert, this is done by some podiatrists as well but rarely.  I do this frequently for women in the nightclub industry who are on high heals all night causing pain.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Thank you for your question. While I am not familiar with any studies regarding these types of injections to the foot, I suppose it is possible and could be an option. The more important question is why are you having atrophy in these specific areas and is that something that needs to be addressed prior to considering cosmetic treatments.Best of luck!

The treatment of fat atrophy of the deep pad is best done by fat injections. Studies have shown that seek fat persists, the heel pad thickens and the pain is improved.
