Blood loss with neck lift & mid line facelift?

Typical blood loss with neck lift and face lift surgery is minimal in my experience.

Facelift and neck lift surgery if performed correctly are not bloody procedures. Therefore during a neck lift and mid facelift the amount of blood loss should be minimal 

There is minimal blood loss when done under local anesthesia with a little iv sedation for comfort for lower face/neck lifts and is very easy to  undergo.

In our practice, we placed lidocaine injections in the face and neck which also has epinephrine in it to significantly restrict the bleeding during the actual surgical process itself.  Electrocautery is also used to stop bleeding when it occurs.  The amount of blood loss during a facelift or a neck lift minimal.

There his minimal and insignificant blood loss associated with any type of facelifting surgery whether it is in the neck and further up on the face.

Great question.  There is minimal blood loss with a neck or face lift.   In my practice we do take an extensive history and physical and send our patients for lab work.  If there is any history of unusual bleeding we would send you to an endocrinologist/hematologist for further work up but that is rare.  I wish you the best.
