Why does the hair grow after laser treatment?

Question

I did laser treatment to remove my excessive hair on chin area which grows very fast. Then I shaved the hair on the same day. But, next day onward I notice growing of hair as usual speed and now it's already one week past, and still, hair is growing. I didn't notice any falling of hair. What is the reason of growing of hair after treatment and how long will it take to hair fall?

Thank you for your question.  Laser hair removal works by treating the hair follicle, not necessarily the hair shaft.  During the treatment, the laser kills the hair follicle so that new hair no longer grows.  However, the body still needs to eliminate the hair that is currently there which take about 10-14 days. It is after this time that you may notice the reduction in hair.  Also, laser hair removal is typically done in a series of secessions so having the expectation that it will take multiple treatments is important. It is best to discuss your questions and concerns with a trained provider.

Thank you for your question. It can take up to 2 weeks for the hairs to fall out of the follicles after having laser hair removal treatment. Please remember typically takes 6-9 sessions spaced 4-8 weeks apart to see 70-90% reduction in hair growth. I recommend addressing any concerns you may have with your treating physician. Hello , and thank you for your question . It takes up to two weeks for the hairs to "fall out" of the follicles after receiving a treatment. Multiple treatments are necessary 4-6 weeks after in order for the hair to be removed . Normally 6-8 sessions are recommended depending on the hair type and skin color .  Hope that helps .

It can take up to 2 weeks for the hair to "fall out" of the follicles and you can shave between treatments. You will need to do a series of treatments to get a significant change.  Typically a series of 5 treatments and some people do maintenance treatments as needed.

for the hairs to "fall out" of the follicles after receiving a treatment. We recommend waiting at least 4 to 6 weeks between treatments and depending on the area sometimes 6 to 8 weeks between treatments. You may shave during that time and in between
treatments. We also ask all of our patients to shave either the night before or
