CO2 laser resurfacing will have little or no effect on the fat under the skin (subcutaneous fat) when the appropriate laser settings are observed.
in 15 years of doing co2 I have never seen facial fat loss from co2. if you are concerned, injected sculptra when you do co2, we do this frequently for improved collagen production anyway. start at home dermarolling now for collagen production (see link). Best, Dr. Emer.
Thank you for you question! The CO2 laser does no have the risk of facial fat loss. It actually can help stimulate collagen growth when done at deeper depths which can help lift and tighten the skin. It will help resurface your skin, minimize pore size, minimize fine lines/wrinkles and improve any textural changes/scarring. Hope this helps!
In my opinion neither of those two technologies are effective for white stretch marks. CO2 fractional for off face areas and all over the body has not been substantiated in clinical studies and RF micro needling may improve the elasticity of the skin but the stretch marks will still remain...
You need the right doctor not the right laser. without photos nobody can tell you what is best, but if you want co2 you will want ultrapulse with the right physician. start peels before and after (see link). at home peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify along with dermarolling...
I perform all of my CO2 laser cases under conscious sedation (twilight anesthesia) for the purpose of maintaining comfort and safety for the patient.
