If you're having a problem after Botox injection I suggest reaching out to your injector and asking for advice. Bruising can be readily treated with lasers which lead to rapid resolution of bruising in most cases. I would ask your injector if they are able to offer laser treatment to you or suggest someone who may be able to do so. Of course, waiting for the bruise to resolve is always an option as well.
No. Do not massage the bruise in your eye area. Talk to your surgeon as to his or her post op protocol, but I've found arnica to be helpful with bruises. Best, Dr. Nazarian
Thank you for your question in regards to Botox. It is not recommended to massage the area where Botox has been injected. This can cause it to migrate to areas where the Botox is not needed. Applying pressure to a bruise can also cause the bruise to become worse. To be sure what is best for you, see two or more board-certified providers in your area for a complete evaluation to make sure you are a good candidate and that it is safe for you to have treatment.I hope this helps.
I do not recommend massage to my patients after botox because that may cause the toxin to migrate closer to the eyes which could cause weakness of the muscles that help to open and close the eyes. The best treatment for bruising is ice, and time. A bruise will fade from bluish to yellowish over 4-7 days. Some patients like to use Arnica gel as well. Best wishes
Thank you for sharing your question. You do not need to massage the bruised area following your Botox injection. Massaging the bruise could potentially cause the Botox to migrate if recently injected. Try to ignore the mark or use cover up. Good luck!
First, so sorry that you are experiencing bruising. This is always a side effect when injecting into the skin. Do not massage the area. We do not want the botox to spread.
Massaging a bruise especially in the sensitive eye area will only make things worse. apply warm compresses and you can apoply arnica or vitamin K cream
As previous expert responding dis state DO NOT MASSAGE! Only the injecting doctor should do any touching of the areas. Brushing usually subsides in a few days to a week...
Massaging after Botox could cause the Botox to migrate. I recommend using cool compresses on the affected area. It should resolve rather quickly. Good luck!
Thank you for your question. You should not massage your Botox as it may cause distant spread of the Botox if newly injected causing untoward effects. You can try Arnica tablets or eat pineapples which is rich in bromelain which may increase the resolution of bruising. Regards, Dr. Matt Elias
Hello, Thank you for your question. Botox may be able to diminish the size of those muscles. I'd recommend booking a consultation with a skilled and qualified injector to, to determine your best treatment options. Take care.
It is very rare for someone not to respond to Botox. Perhaps you have been going to spas and they are not injecting enough Botox. I would suggest you consult a board certified dermatologist with expertise with Botox. Best, Dr. Green
Idopine drops can help the droopiness from Botox injections. You do not want to have more Botox at this point. It will take time for the Botox to go away but exercises do not help. Best, Dr. Green
