I just got veneers on my two middle front teeth which look fine except a little whiter than my own teeth. My veneers are bulky at the back. I cannot chew properly. My back teeth do not meet on either side of my mouth. My dentist filed the veneers AFTER gluing them and when filing i felt sensitivity so he stopped and told me to wait for two days. The filing he has done is very rough and uneven and i am afraid he will weaken my actual teeth as he kept filing down unevenly to correct his mistake.

Hello,
As long as veneers were properly bonded and and are well maintained brushing and flossing, the teeth underneath are isolated from the oral environment. This means nothing will happen to them.
