I had double eyelid surgery with DST 8 years ago. Is a revision using the same suture technique possible?

The result of the surgery has been perfect. However recently I noticed the crease of the left eye disappeared occasionally that i had to use double eyelid tape to reestablish the crease. It returned after sticking on the tape for a while. Is redoing the surgery with DST possible? thanks!

Yes, you can redo the procedure if the crease is not formed well. It all depends on your age and how much redundant skin there is. If you would like to have non cutting blepharoplasty when you have redundant skin, just simply create the crease line slightly higher than original one and this may be able to lift up the redundant skin. Without seeing your photo, my recommendation may not be specific but this is the guide line I use.

hi,
it all depends on how old you are and what is your current condition of your upper eyelid.  if you have a lot of excess skin, suture technique is not recommended. if you could post a picture, your assessment could be more accurate.  or go see a plastic surgeon for an evaluation.  hope this helps.
