Is ok to get chin lipo and buccal fat removal BEFORE a BBL?

The swelling that is sometimes noticed in the face following a BBL and 360 lipo is the result of lying face down during the procedure and can also be attributed to IV fluids.  The swelling should resolve a few days after surgery.  The swelling will not affect your chin lipo and buccal fat removal which would have been performed several months prior.Kenneth Hughes, MD, ABPS Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

 yes, it is certainly acceptable to undergo liposuction in the chin prior to getting a BBL procedure.  As long as the skin tone is acceptable in your neck, liposuction will work just fine.   If your Skin tone is  loose and inelastic and you are over 50 years of age, then a lower face and neck lift will be required to tighten loose facial and neck skin.

swelling is a temporary state that happens from inflammation or eating too much salt.  Swelling has zero impact on final results from liposuction or fat transfer procedures. It's simply swelling.  Having a chin liposuction or a buckle fat pad removal a fairly minor procedures in comparison to full body Liposuction with a BBL. Obviously confirm you're a good candidate for these procedures. Be very very careful in moving forward with a buccal fat pad removal.  The results can look striking on young people but the results can have a very negative impact as people age.  Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
