I had chin implant surgery in April of 2022, so almost 2.5 years ago. As a result of the surgery, I have lost about 80% of the feeling in my lower lip and chin. I have seen a neurologist and a physical therapist, who agreed that the damage is permanent and that there is nothing I can do. My PCP suggested microneedling with stem cells. I have already tried red light therapy for 16 sessions, with no improvement. Is there anything else that I can try? Are there any reports of success with the microneedling? I am in a constant state of discomfort as, besides the numbness, I also feel odd sensations of coldness due to the nerve damage. Any suggestions or input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
