Should I get a chin implant or genioplasty? (photos)

Hi I wanted to ask if for my situation it would be better a genioplasty or a simple chin implant would be enough.Genioplasty looks a little too dangerous but I still would like to know which one would be better in my case. I know consultation through pictures is impossible but just a general idea would be enough. Thanks in advance for the help!

I believe you need jaw surgery. But if you don’t want to go through that, sliding genioplasty with lengthening is the best option.

If you do not have any current bite issues then a sliding genioplasty is not needed. Genioplasty is a very involved procedure and it has a long post operative recovery. You should be an ideal candidate for chin augmentation to provide more projection to your weak chin. This will balance your facial profile and overall facial aesthetic nicely.  I like to use a silastic chin implant and these come in many shapes and sizes. I prefer to use a small incision placed under the chin which allows the patient a speedy recovery and less risk of infection then an intra-oral incision.
