I was struggling to choose between venus viva and infi. Finally decided to try infini fir my icepick scars and large pore. Problem is I just had juvaderm fillers in my jawline and chin and dont know if it will be affected by infini. How long should I wait
Answer: How long to wait after filler for Infini? There is no time needed to do any RFM after filler. Filler will not be affected at all by the RFM. Infini is a far superior device vs Viva. It goes deeper and has higher energy. My preferred RFM device is now the Genius. It is engineered with sharper needles, impedance feedback, and very high torque motor, and energy input monitoring. I have written 4 papers on RFM and a recent chapter in Facial Plastic Clinics of North America. When filler is sterilized at the factory, it is heated to 120C for 15-20 minutes. Inifni or other RFM heats to 65-70 for milliseconds. The heat will not breakdown the filler!

Answer: Infini and dermal fillers The lutronic infini is a very good device to treat certain acne scars.A series of treatments is needed to get the best results. Oftentimes the Infini procedure is combined with other treatments such as subscison,PRP, laser resurfacing and dermal fillers to improve your results. Icepick scars usually require treatment with TCA or excision for the best results. In our office we recommend waiting 2 weeks or more after dermal fillers before having an Infini treatment.

Answer: Infini and fillers Great question. When fillers are placed in the dermis (just under the surface of the skin) then Infini (or any other microneedling RF device) will blast away at the filler. However, most often filler is placed deep to the dermis, often under the skin or just against the bone, in which case it will be unaffected by the Infini. Without knowing what exactly you had done it isn't possible to say where your filler was placed, but usually filler placed at the jawline is sub-dermal, and would not be affected.

Answer: Scars and best practices- Dr Davin S. Lim To answer your question - no problem with filler and RF. If you have ICE PICK scars and larger pores, the primary treatment should NOT be RF microneedling. Primary treatment should be TCA CROSS. Acne scar revision is a sub-specialised field. For the best results, one should target the acne scar type with ideal treatments and not just one device. For example deep ice pick scars, and narrow box car scars can be treated with TCA CROSS peels, mixed scars, rolling, and atrophic scars treated with fractional devices such as Fraxel, fractional lasers, PRP and INFINI radiofrequency. Atrophic scars (depressions) can be treated with either fat grafts, or dermal fillers. Tethered and anchored scars are best treated with surgical techniques such as subcision. Other surgical techniques that we use include punch elevation, surgical elevation, punch excision and traditional excision of focal scars. The majority of patients will have a collection of different scar types, and hence a tailored treatment METHOD will be best. Careful examination, especially under angled lighting with scar mapping will give you an understanding of what are the best options for your scars. In the majority of patients its finding the correct combination that give you best results, and everyone is unique! All the best, Dr Davin Lim. Acne scar dermatologist specialist. Brisbane, Australia.
