Would laser lipo be a viable solution for my stomach? (photo)

no vaser alone will not help you at all. you need vaser, renuvion and a tummy tuck/body lift. you have a lot of loose skin.

my whole practice is doing lipoabdominoplasty, or at least liposuction with internal heating (which is not the gold standard for skin tightening with body contouring).

the smaller you are before liposuction the more contouring you can get from the procedure. most of my liposuction patients get pre and post surgical optimization with hormonal therapy (see link to help boost their weight loss before surgery and help them heal after).

You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best.  Traditional liposuction awake and smart liposuction are old methods and do very poorly for tightening skin or significant skin tightening or contouring.  Small problem areas can be improved slightly by these methods.  The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heat the skin with radio-frequency devices such as J PLASMA/RENUVION, InMode BodyTite, ThermiRF to heat the under surface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. These combinations are called 4D HIDEF VASER contouring and can only be done by a well . trained body contouring specialist. At the same time fat should be harvested, PRP and stem cells added and injected into muscles or indentations/cellulite to get body shaping and contouring.  This is known as a Brazilian butt lift when you inject the fat to the buttock for contouring and lifting, but fat can also be used in areas such as the chest/breast, arms/shoulders, calves and face.  Cellulite should also be treated with cellfina, sculptra, subcision and/or fillers such as bellafill, renuva synthetic fat, or sculptra.  If skin is very loose before surgery then it will need to be removed such as lower abdominal skin (tummy tuck/abdominoplasty), breast skin (breast lift), arm skin (brachioplasty).  Overall you need a full assessment, but simple liposuction alone will not tighten skin and needs a combination of various methods -- fat removal, skin tightening, defining, fat grafting, skin removal -- to get the best in body contouring and body sculpting.  Dr. Emer.

The excess skin on your abdomen is abundant, and the procedure I recommend to you is a complete tummy tuck since your abdominal skin fold arises from each iliac crest, and just lipo will not be sufficient to get rid of that excess skin and fat.Abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure used to remove excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen as well as to strengthen the abdominal muscles.A tummy tuck gives you a flatter, firmer abdomen and a narrower waist.Four factors affect the appearance of the abdomen. Skin laxity, excess subcutaneous fat, diastasis recti, and excess visceral or intra-abdominal fat must all be considered by the specialist when deciding on the best procedure for you. best wishes!

based on your photos, you look like a good candidate for a TT. Full tummy tuck should tighten your abdominal muscles and remove the excess skin. Flanks liposuction would give you a better shape. I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon because only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.

You should be examined for skin laxity but if it is good than laser liposuction can have a great result for you

The treatment should be based on what the underlying ideology is.

There are four variables that contribute to the shape in contour of the abdomen. These are skin laxity, exes subcutaneous fat, muscle separation from previous pregnancies a.k.a. diastasis and recti and access visceral or intra-abdominal fat.

Based on your picture I’m guessing you have all four of these. Weight loss is probably the first place to start. In regards to treatment options Liposuction only reduces subcutaneous fat so it will treat one out of four variables.

If tummy tech primarily treats abdominal skin laxity and diastasis recti but it will indirectly also reduce subcutaneous fat. Excess visceral fat can only be lost through weight loss.

Liposuction will reduce the size of your midsection but will not get you a significant change in contour.

Most providers do not remove more than 5 L of fat. In realistic terms this is about 8 pounds of fat. This is sufficient to treat the torso and someone up to about 160 pounds. After that 5 L of fat may be insufficient for ideal results. in my experience patients over 220 pounds or not at all candidates for Liposuction because even two rounds of liposuction it removing 10 L can be insufficient.

Much of the surgical intervention can be avoided by simply getting healthy and losing weight.

Your photograph appears to demonstrate fullness of the abdomen. I am unable to ascertain if this represents accumulation of fat beneath the skin, internal visceral fat or a separation of your anterior abdominal muscles as the result of previous pregnancy or weight loss (or a combination of all 3).
Superficial fat is addressed with liposuction, abdominal wall repair is accomplished with abdominoplasty, and visceral fat is addressed with a regimen of diet and exercise. A physical examination is required to differentiate among these entities.
Without height and weight information, one cannot ascertain your candidacy for correction.
Your candidacy for cosmetic surgery requires consideration of many factors. One is measurement of your BMI (body mass index equals weight in kg / square of height in meters). You can find BMI calculators on the internet. If your BMI is greater than 30, the cosmetic result will not be optimal. If your BMI is greater than 35, your operative risk will rise. Weight loss through diet and exercise is recommended. If not achievable, a bariatric procedure (such as a gastric sleeve) will result in significant weight loss.
If your weight is within an acceptable range, seek a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon for evaluation and discussion.
