Did the doctor take too much off my nose tip? (photo)

Question

Hello, I am 28 years old and I had a rhinoplasty done November 2022. I had the procedure done in Istanbul and I’m worried that too much of the tip was taken off, leaving more space between my nose and upper lip than I like, mostly on the right side of my face. Is a lip lift something that could help with this and still look balanced? I have residual lip filler from 1 year ago and had fat grafting to my cheeks and chin November 2022.

Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can see from your photo your nose tip became more projected and it made an illusion that your nose and lips are too far from each other. With only rhinoplasty surgery this distance cannot be changed. If you want to reduce this distance lip lift or fillers might help you. If you can provide photos with better lighting, from the side of your face and 1 meter away I would be able to make a proper evaluation. It would be more convenient to decide with face-to-face consultation. Best Regards!

The photos you posted seem to be a pre-op morph. We'd need to see some current photos to help you figure out what's wrong and whether it's correctable, and how predictably correctable it is. What I can tell you is that a lip lift will almost never fix something that's wrong with a nose!

In answer to your question, based upon the single submitted photo, it appears that you have a very satisfactory result! Perhaps you need some time to get use to your new appearance. It would have also helped to see a front view for a more thorough evaluation of the result. Additionally, the relationship of your upper lip to your lower lip & chin appears to be spot-on from measurements off this photo.

I think your nose looks perfect. As far as injecting fat in the face I think it’s a waste of money. Lip fillers are okay but it’s also a pricey habit over time.
