Technically, the monsplasty is NOT covered with a panniculectomy. A panniculectomy only involves the removal of the pannus or the hanging skin OVER the pubic region. A panniculectomy does NOT include the removal of the excess skin or fat of the pubic region. The monsplasty and the panniculectomy can be done at the same time and in my opinion, should be done at the same time. However these are discussion you need to have with your plastic surgeon BEFORE the panniculectomy.
