Incision Bleeding after massage?

I personally don't think massage is a good idea but it certainly should not generate any blood loss. This is something you should report to your surgeon immediately.

Massage after augmentation is used by some, though the benefits might be few and the bleeding is a bad sign. Our best advice is to stop the breast massage, and get in to see your surgeon as soon as possible for instructions and peace of mind.

Most likely your massage has irritated your incision which isn't completely healed up yet, and it is having some spot bleeding. If you had caused enough trauma to cause internal bleeding, you would likely have other symptoms such as pain, swelling of the breast, and asymmetry of one breast to the other.Always best to consult your surgeon if you have concerns or issues though, so it might be worth checking with him/her to see if they think you should come in and have it checked out.Hope this helps.B Hermann, MD

You need to be seen in person for an accurate diagnosis. Call your surgeons office and inform them of what you've noticed and your doctor can get you in soon if he or she feels necessary. Good luck. Dean Vistnes.
