What are the effects of taping your breasts down?

There should be no problem with taping your breast down for the purpose of reducing projection. You certainly wouldn't want to have this to tight causing discomfort.

I see many female to male trans patients who have bound their breasts for long periods and I think that they have made some changes to the shape of their breasts although the most noticeable change is bruising and excoriations to the skin.  Just one day of taping is likely not going to cause any significant change other than skin irritation from the tape.  Taping them too tight could cause skin ulcerations and permanent scarring though.  The Gender Identity Center in Denver is a great place to seek help and maybe councelling as well.

Ijustneed,Taping your breasts down will not cause any harm. but will not accomplish anything either, apart from temporary change to physical appearance. As soon as the tape is gone, so will the change. Also, tape can be quite irritating. A tight stretch top will accomplish the same effect, with no harm, but also produces no lasting change.   If you are having gender identity questions or dysphoria, you should pursue appropriate  consultation with an experienced counselor who is interested in gender issues, in order to explore the feelings and your questions.  I hope that this helps.
