I had surgery to remove the tumor in 2013. I was in remission. I started seeing symptoms again and had a second surgery to remove the tumor last year. Unfortunately it was unsuccessful. I would love to get lipo to remove the fat built up. Areas such as abdomen, hips, flanks, back rolls mainly. But, I’m wondering can I get my chin and cheeks also? Could I get this procedure while having the tumor and be able to keep the fat off with diet and exercise?

Hello. Congratulations on your procedure. A personal examination is needed to determine what your bulge is. It may be swelling, fluid collection or fat. Please schedule a follow up appointment with your surgeon.
You will need to wear the compressive garment for several months to see if it will smooth out. If it does not then the excess hanging skin will need to be corrected with a tummy tuck.

Liposuction carries a very low risk of emboli since fluid is first put in to constrict blood vessels, and suction is applied with removal. During the BBL, if the fat was injected too deeply, there is a significant risk of emboli. With just liposuction, no fat is injected back into your body.
