I had tumescent liposuction on my inner thighs, knees, and outer thighs 4 months (and 1 week) ago. My surgeon removed 550ccs. While I have seen significant improvement, I’m concerned that the visible bulge/bump on my thigh (right thigh in picture) will be permanent. I know the final results can take up to 6 months to see, but I can’t imagine it will smooth out in 2 months. My surgeon will not discuss results until it’s been at least 6 months. I’d appreciate any insight!

You will need to wear the compressive garment for several months to see if it will smooth out. If it does not then the excess hanging skin will need to be corrected with a tummy tuck.

Liposuction carries a very low risk of emboli since fluid is first put in to constrict blood vessels, and suction is applied with removal. During the BBL, if the fat was injected too deeply, there is a significant risk of emboli. With just liposuction, no fat is injected back into your body.
Swelling is normal and you will be your biggest usually at the end of the first week. Continue to wear your garment as much as possible. While it is washing and drying, you might want to get into another garment.
