Without images and further history, it is difficult to give you specific advice.  I feel your best next step is to schedule an appointment with a dermatologist, plastic surgeon, or facial plastic surgeon who performs skin resurfacing regularly.  If you're developing scarring, this must be managed quickly and aggressively with topical and/ or injectable steroids and anti-scarring medications.  Pigment changes may be addressed with bleaching agents and thorough sun protection.  Ask an experienced physician for his/ her help, and avoid doing aggressive peels without medical help.  Best of luck to you.
