This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. Buccal fat pad gives slimming not symmetry. Masseter botox will make you slimmer and make the jawline more loose. Fillers help give shaping and contouring. If you want perfect or close to perfect symmetry you need maxillofacial surgery or implants customized. I suggest seeing an expert to go through all options. Most of my younger clients use fillers to give them shaping especially on the cheeks, jawline, and chin which make the face look more slim and tight; and threads such as PDO or Instalift can build collagen and support the facial shaping and skin looseness over time, slowing down the aging process and given the face a more “snatched” look; and morpheus8 or PiXel8 deep microneedling RF can tighten crepe skin especially on the neck and jawline and is great for long term tightening of the full face, neck and chest; its often used to give the face a slimmer more sculpted look because it tightens the skin and gives lift. an early face lift can be performed as well even in younger clients if they want a different facial shape, maxillofacial surgery with bone breaking or shaving can also be done. For facial slimming a combination of treatments are always needed. Options include: 1. Buccal fat pad removal to reduce fat on the lower face 2. Factite or Renuvion/J Plasma to tighten the lower face, jawline, and chin to reduce fat and give the jawline and neck tightening and shaping. 3. Botox to the masseter to reduce the muscular size of the jaw giving the face an illusion of being more slender 4. Fillers to the jawline, chin, cheeks, temples and brow help to shape the face and make it more angled and defined Always use at home derma rolling (see link to Emerageskin x anteageMD roller plus stem cells/hyaluronic acid ampules) and peels like emeragecosmetics enlighten or aerify that can be used to improve skin quality and tighten the skin while improving wrinkles, pigmentation, acne, and Melasma. See an expert who does facial shaping with surgical and non surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.
Fillers, fat grafting and implants can all provide improvement and increase in mid face and its projection. Every patient has a different anatomy with different needs and desires. So it is best to consult a board certified facial plastic surgeon in person and discuss your options after a physical examination.Hope this helps,Ali Rıza Öreroğlu, MD FEBOPRASEuropean and Turkish Board Certified Aesthetic, Plastic and Reconstructive SurgeonIstanbul, Turkey
Hello,Thank you for your question. You may want to look into facial fillers. Voluma is a great filler for the cheeks. It provides structure and fullness while remaining extremely natural. It moves with the natural motions of your face. While this may be a great option for you, it is imperative that you consult with a local physician to determine the best course of treatment for your desired results. Good luck!
You have a nice bone structure from the front view, but you’re right: Your cheekbones look flat in profile. While you could consider a permanent solution, such as cheek implants, I’d recommend using Voluma and/or Sculptra to build up the flatness in the front. These dermal fillers do a wonderful job of creating beautiful, natural-looking curves and volume. And if you decide you don’t like the look, they will dissipate over the next year or two. Fillers could be your permanent solution — if you maintain them every year or two — or could be used to “audition” a new look before committing to surgery. Consulting a board-certified dermatologist who is expert in facial sculpting will let you try your new cheekbones on “for size.”
It appears that your cheeks are a bit flat in the area below lower eyelids. This is most likely due to mild hypoplasia of the cheek bones. This can be corrected with volume augmentation including fillers (temporary), fat grafts (very good results in your age group) or small cheek implants. In-person evaluation and consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon with good reputation in facial rejuvenation would help. Good luck.
Fillers offer a temporary augmentation to the cheeks, while surgical cheek implants offer a permanent improvement. Cheek implants are manufactured in a large variety of both sizes and shapes, and are usually placed through intra-oral approach to accomplish giving fullness to the mid-face over the maxilla. For diagrams of the implants themselves and many before-and-after examples, please see the video and the link below
You have a wide or high arced zygomatic arches to your cheekbones which is why they are very wide in the front view but appear flat or non-existant from the sides. For the width of the zygomatic arch you would need greater anterior or infra-orbital augmentation go your cheekbones.
Hi, I have performed many facial shaping procedures using dermal fillers, silastic facial implants (cheek implants, chin implants, lip implants), liposuction and/or facelifts for over 30 years. From the photos, your cheeks are very flat in the front and the chin is weak. These combine to create an elongated, rectangular shaped face. Following my beauty principles, women look the most feminine, youthful and attractive with heart shaped faces. Heart shaped faces have cheeks that are full and round in the front. Cheek augmentation with a dermal filler or using cheek implants for a permanent enhancement will create full, round cheeks that will feminize the entire face. I have performed many Chin Augmentations using chin implants for over 30 years. From the photos, your chin is weak. A weak chin creates an imbalance making the nose appear larger, the mid face top heavy and the lower face look short that de-emphasizes the lips and allows early formation of a double chin. Chin augmentation using a silastic chin implant will add projection to the chin creating harmony and balance to the lower face. I have found that placement of a silastic chin implant, through a small curved incision under the chin (also allows excess skin removal) to be very safe, quick, highly effective and far less invasive than a sliding genioplasty. I perform chin implant surgery in 30 minutes or less, often using a local anesthetic alone. Hope this helps.
The problem near the mouth corner typically occurs as volume is lost from the midface and the skin begins to slide forward and down. I would recommend revolumizing the cheeks with any filler you like (Voluma, Bellafill, Sculptra, fat, etc) to help lift that skin and minimize the lower face...
For a more defined jawline to strengthen your profile (and help prevent the dreaded jawline "jowl" sagging), we use injectable fillers like Revanesse Versa - a filler known to limit swelling and give subtle, soft enhancements - or Radiesse. Using a cannula to limit pain and swelling, we inject...
