I would like to get the right surgery; I need a tummy tuck & lifting of thighs & butt; right side of thigh look awful I have lumps of extra fat there. I already have a scar from hip surgery on left side & am weary of having a LBL scar all around. I feel perhaps an extended tummy tuck would be better for lifting of these areas with some conservative lipo & perhaps fat transfer to buttocks. Lifting my own skin manually shows improvement, I'm hoping the right procedure can perform some miracle.
Answer: TT extended In my opinion you are a perfect candidate for an Extended Tummy tuck I order to get rid of the saggy skin on your abdomen and the extension further back, Will help to make a lift to your lateral thighs and help to smooth out the area. Muscle repair will help to create a smaller waist, improving your already beautiful body shape. Some liposuction to the lower back, outer thighs and banana rolls will help to smoothen the surface of those areas and also to harvest some fat to transfer to your but and fill in some of the deeper lumps and dents.Be encouraged. You will love your beautiful result. Dr. Cardenas

Answer: Body lift or tummy tuck Thank you for your question and for sharing your photos. A consultation would help determine which of the following procedures is the right one for you:1) Traditional tummy tuck: Reduces a great amount of skin laxity, tightens the abdominal wall muscles and keeps the incision hidden in the underwear line.2) An extended tummy tuck: Same as a tummy tuck, but helps to reduce more skin laxity around the flanks.3) A corset tummy tuck: Adds a vertical scar and breast fold scar, but reduces a significant amount of vertical skin laxity in addition to the horizontal skin laxity and creates the most hour-glass type figure. Downside is more visible scar4) A belt lipectomy (or lower body lift) helps lift the outer thighs and buttock in addition to the benefits of an extended tummy tuck. You may need some subcision and lipofilling of the dimples to provide the best results and address these concerns.I would recommend visiting with a board certified plastic surgeon who can spend time with you to explain the different options in more detail.

Answer: Will a Body lift, Extended Tummy Tuck & side Thigh Lift help with cellulite & sagging of skin on my upper thighs & buttocks? To really improve the dimpling in the buttocks and the thighs the posterior body lift probably helps the most. However, fat transfer to the buttocks can help a great deal as well.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA

Answer: Body Lift Body lift is a great procedure to smooth out excess skin and wrinkles, lift the buttocks and thighs. It's one of my favorite procedures as the results are great. Your body is perfect for a lift. The scar should be placed very low so that it's imperceptible when wearing underwear. Good Luck!!

Answer: Will a Body lift, Extended Tummy Tuck & side Thigh Lift help with cellulite & sagging of skin on my upper thighs & buttocks? It is hard to say with 100% certainty if you are a good candidate for a body lift procedure using photographs alone. However, it does SEEM like you would be a reasonable candidate. A body lift is similar to a tummy tuck but the incision goes 360 degrees around to both tighten the tummy and also to lift/auto-augment the buttocks. This procedure will help somewhat with the contour problems/cellulite on the lateral thighs but will not help with the inner thighs at all. It may improve the posterior thighs slightly, but a significant change is not likely. An alternative would in fact be an extended tummy tuck/lateral thigh lift and fat transfer to the buttocks could be considered to lift and improve the volume but it takes quite a bit of fat to do this--upwards of a liter in some patients! Any residual cellulite could potentially be improved with a separate operation such as Cellulaze or Vasersmooth. I would recommend having an evaluation with a board certified/eligible plastic surgeon with experience in body contouring surgery. I personally would suggest breaking this up into 2 surgeries for safety sake.
