Hi! I always had “hollow-ish” eyes but they’ve gotten way worse. People tell me I look different in pics (not as prominent/angle). I’m 27. Prescribed Adderall since 13. I’m 5’7 & weighed 280lbs until I was 16. Started low carb diet & ran every night. Went to 180lbs quickly by 17. I am now 165lbs. I had a tummy tuck a few years ago. Would fillers make them worse if I stop? (by stretching them?) Can I get fillers if I have braces on? Any help would be great. Thank you so much for your time.

Answer: Fillers for hollowing Hi there and thanks for your question. A combination of genetics, normal aging process and weight loss are all contributing factors to your "hollowness". The medication you take can cause decreased appetite and weight loss. I would talk to your primary care doctor about your concern, come up with a healthy diet and exercise plan. Fillers will not stretch the skin, your skin will go back to original look. Fillers can help stimulate collagen production over time, you should be in a better position if you decide to stop. You can consider under eye filler in the tear troughs. The filler we prefer to use is volbella. It lasts up to 9 months and is a thin, soft filler perfect for the under eyes. Depending on the depth of the area we typically start with 1 syringe. This will help add volume to the under eye and decrease shadowing. Also, you can do filler in your cheeks to help support the under eye and add volume to the anterior cheek. Voluma is the filler of choice in our offices for the cheeks. Voluma can last up to 12 months for most patients. It is hard to say number of syringes without a face to face consult. Both are hyaluronic acid fillers that dissolve over time, both fillers can be dissolved if you are unhappy with the result. Have a consultation with an experienced, licensed cosmetic doctor. There you should express your concerns and expectations and come up with a plan that is best for you. Hope this helps you!!!

Answer: Hollow eyes Weight loss, genetics and normal aging can contribute to the eyes looking hollow. From your photos it would appear that dermal fillers would be helpful to lift and volumize the area. Dermal fillers can be done even if you have braces. Dermal fillers do not "stretch" the skin so if you decided not to continue with dermal fillers the skin would revert back to it's original state. If you have a lot of skin laxity than a skin tightening procedure such as microneedling, microneedling with RF, RF/ultrasound may be helpful.
