i had severe hairloss because i suffered from dengue fever before 3 months........after telogen efluvium will cause androgenic alopicea...?...hairfall not in the way of hair breakage or damage.. iit fall as hair end with white bulb.

Dengue is a well known cause of telogen effluvium. Yes, if a person has the right genetic background and is the right age, genetic hair loss can occur following a telogen effluvium. However, if a person does not have the correct genetic background and is not the right age, this will not occur. Please see a physician if concerned.

Telogen Effluvium can occur after a high fever and illness.  It is also possible to have an underlying androgenic alopecia that was not noticeable with loss until after the telogen effluvium.  A full history and examination by a hair loss specialist, as well as possible lab work, is needed to consider all the factors involved in your hair loss.  Once a complete diagnosis is made, then therapy options can be suggested.  Good luck!!
