Everyone's facial proportions are different. Definition and contouring of the face can be improved with well-placed fillers (Voluma, Radiesse, Bellafill) and Sculptra. Buccal fat pad removal is a common cosmetic facial surgery procedure that is performed to help slim the cheeks or face. The buccal fat pads are walnut sized fat deposits deep in the cheeks. These fat masses are located in the cheek between the nostril and corner of the mouth. Some patients have a very full and round face, in part from large buccal fat pads. In the video below, this patient had a neck lift, but she also had her buccal fat pads removed.
