Question

The right side scar didnt heal well & took a long time to heal, it turned dark red & hurt to the touch. Dr. thought it might be an infection & called in an antibiotic. Dont think the Dr. lifted my left side enough. Have more lines on my left then my right & it looks uneven. Dr. didn't take pictures before the surgery so I don't know how much he lifted. I wanted a noticable difference with minimal scarring and that is not what I received. Very depressed and self conscious; don't know what to do.

There is no way to guarantee a perfect scar. Yours are quite pink and getting wide in the pictures. Your best bet is to consult with a plastic surgeon about starting IPL laser treatments for the redness. An injection of steroid might also be helpful. Eventually the scars will lighten and can hopefully be revised to a more ideal location. Hope that helps.-CDK

I would not believe that this facelift was done by a board certified plastic surgeon.The location of the scar is not ideal the scars on each side is different.Your scars are thick, they will improve with time or by scar revision by a qualified plastic surgeon
