What can I do for post microneedling care? 48 hours post & face is very red, slightly bruised and dry (about to peel) (Photo)

Done for acne scars. Collagen P.I.N used. 0.5 used on forehead, 1.5 on cheeks, side of face 1.0. Dermatologist recommended it. Licensed esthetician did it (12yr exp.) @ the office. Post tx plan: induction therapy products (makers of the p.i.n) including serum q1h day of tx, then days following use cleanser bid, apply phaz serum, apply dewet moisturizer & intensive care cream for bruising. Sunscreen primer prn. What else can I do to speed up heeling? This looks terrible & I'm so upset.

This is difficult to answer without pictures. A combination approach gives the most improvement to stretch marks. I recommend a combination of microneedling/prp, lasers (Erbium/Fraxel Laser, Excel V, Pulsed Dye Laser) or radiofrequency devices. Stretch marks can't be cured and it will take a s...

Yes, these marks can be improved with microneedling. I recommend combining with prp and lasers (ProYellow, Excel V, Vbeam) to get the most improvement. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

It is recommended to wait at least 5-7 days post treatment.  It depends on how long you've been using the retina.  How aggressive the treatment was.  If anything was used in conjunction with the micro needling.  Always check back with the office that you got the treatment...

Yes, this can be due to the histamine release with a microneedling treatment. I recommend following up with a Doctor for a formal evaluation and if necessary, additional treatment. With microneedling, I always add prp and lasers to get the best outcomes. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
