In my opinion, the croton oil (or Hetter) peel is the safest and most effective technique in preforming facial resurfacing. There is no reason to be scared of it. If you choose someone experienced in performing this procedure, I believe that you will heal quicker and with less risk of complications with the croton oil peel than if you had a CO2 laser performed to a similar depth. Good luck!
Croton peel and CO2 resurfacing can both work well with resurfacing. I think it is best to review with the individual results and recommendations from the physician who you have consulted with.
