So far I have had 2 quotes from surgeons that I was referred to by friends. One was for 11000 for both TT and lipo and the other for 8000. I will be paying cash instead of financing but my budget will allow for 7500.I will be bringing them more business from myself and from friends I work with in the hospital. Should I try negotiating the price?

Answer: Surgery costs You should negotiate for a lesser price. You shouldn't negotiate for a lesser surgeon!Consider having surgery outside of the city in a neighboring market. You will often find excellent surgeeons that charge less, due to less overhead costs.

Answer: Tummy tuck costs Both of these price quotes seem like in the typical range for abdominoplasty plus liposuction for your area. RealSelf actually has good tools to check on average costs. Many things factor into the cost of surgery, including a surgeon's expertise and experience, your particular surgical needs, overhead costs of the OR and supplies, and Anesthesia costs. Going with the best "deal" by price won't always result in the best choice. This is your body we're talking about! Find a surgeon that you feel like you can trust. Sometimes its worth waiting to save more to get the operation you really want in the long run. In terms of negotiating, it never hurts to ask; but don't be surprised if you get turned down. Good luck!
