I had a lift 6 months ago and need to get scar recision. They are extremely visable and restrict me from wearing many of the things I got this done to wear in the first place. The incisions under the breast look very high to me. Is that normal? The Dr has said this is how my body unfortunately healed but I would love a second opinion as I sadly regret ever doing this.
Answer: Conservative scar treatments may be most beneficial. Thank you for your photos. From your photos it appears that you have excellent breast shape and contour with your nipple/areola in the correct position. Your incision lines look hypertrophic. As your incisions became hypertrophic after your original surgery, there’s a higher likelihood that they would do so after revision of the incisions. If you were to have a revision, it would be imperative that you begin treatment with some silicone sheeting directly on the scars to suppress your tendency to form the hypertrophic scars. EMBRACE is one such silicone sheeting product. It is not a guarantee that you won’t have more prominent scars, but it does help to suppress them as much as possible. Discuss this with your plastic surgeon. Best wishes.

Answer: Scars Dear Friendly465517, I understand your concern. Based on your photos, it looks like your scars are hypertrophic. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: KELOIDS AND SCARS AFTER SURGERY! Each person heals differently, Treatment for keloid scar is possible. If you don't like the look or feel of a keloid, talk to your doctor about flattening or removing it. Even with treatment, a keloid can last for several years or come back. The navel will swell in the first few days after the procedure. The scar is normal and the scar itself will be hard at first but will soften over time. There are risk factors for keloid, such as age, having dark or black skin, or having families with previous history. Here a couple of Treatments for keloids, Cream with corticosteroids. Injected medication. Freezing of the scar. Laser treatment. Radiotherapy. Surgical removal. For dark scars, fortunately, there are treatments available, such as depigmentation creams, dermatological procedures, and laser therapy options, that can help reduce pigmentation and improve the appearance of hyper-pigmented scars. Look for a good specialist. I hope this help, good luck!
