Should I go back for more Botox after I could move jaw muscles more last time?

I had Botox in my jaw done 15 units each side. Worked great. Went back after 3 months to get redone and was great for 3 weeks and then bam - headaches and my jaw is EXHAUSTED. Second time I did 15/20 units (20 on my bad side) I can move my jaw muscles more this time. Did they put it in the wrong spot? Should I go back for more?

Neuromodulators for TMJ dysfunction can be beneficial depending on symptoms and severity of disease. Injection patterns can vary and occasional touch ups may be needed. Additionally dosing is variable. Follow up with your treating provider for additional recommendations.

15 units is not enough.  Poorly placed  Botox won't work no matter how many units you receive.  If you clench your jaw, the area that the masseter muscle is bulging is the area that needs to be injected.  It is also a thick muscle so the injection needs to be a little deeper than Botox in the glabella or eyes.
