I typically tell patients to wait 7-10 days for any sexual activity or strenuous exercise. If it hurts, don't do it. A little discomfort is normal and typical for a few weeks after surgery. Take it slow, feel your body out, you know what you can tolerate and what you cannot. Most of my patients are still wearing compression garments for 2-4 weeks after surgery, to help keep the swelling at a minimum and speed up the healing process. It is best to speak to your physician. Best, Dr. Emer.
I would suggest waiting at least 7 days. If the activity does not hurt during or afterwards, then you may do it. Be sure, however, to wear your compression garment for at least 2-4 weeks.
Thank you for your question. It is best toconsult with your doctor to be sure you are healing properly. Most patients cango about the daily activities within a week of the procedure. Please be patientwith your healing and continue to wear your compression garment.
In general after a surgical procedure, you should wait 7 days before doing anything that elevates your heart rate or blood pressure. Best wishes, Dean Vistnes.
The safest thing would be to have a general anesthestic for optimum safety and control of pain and anxiety. There is a limit to how many areas can be anesthetized with local anesthetic, and the areas mentioned above, could exceed that limit. Add anxiety and a history of panic/major anxiety...
It is not normal than patients get results shown after 3 months. use your garment and dont take it out. you will see awesome results soon.
For our patients that sensation typically goes away in 24-48 hours. Everybody is different of course, and it depends on the extent and part of the body the procedure where the procedure was performed. But that is a roughly what we see in our practice.I hope this helps!
