Dysport complications - could it be permanent? Dents in forehead (Photos)

Question

I received 40 units in the middle area of my forehead in November, everything was fine but then I went for check up a month later and my doctor convinced me to get extra 10 units above my brows, since I still had some movement in that area. After that I slowly started feeling changes in my brows, tingling and numbness around my eyes and temple area. My brows went completely straight no arch also my forehead got completely flat and stretched like 2 cm. Could it be permanent?

The effects of Dysport are temporary.  In general they last approximately 3 to 4 months from the last treatment, although it may be longer for some patients.  The effects fade gradually.  If you are not seeing improvement I encourage you to contact your injector.

The side effects of Dysport that you have mentioned, such as brow changes, tingling, numbness around the eyes and temple region, and changes to the shape of the forehead, are usually not permanent. Like other neuromodulators, Dysport temporarily reduces muscular activity; however, these effects usually go away in 3-4 months. Most side effects start to show up a week or so after beginning therapy and continue for many weeks. It is essential to get medical advice immediately if you suffer more severe symptoms, such as trouble swallowing or breathing, or if the issues persist. Also, it would be best if you spoke with your medical professional who performed the Dysport procedure about the changes you've experienced. They can offer a more thorough evaluation and go over any actions that should be taken to treat your symptoms.
