Can micro needling cause hives?

I have been fighting hives for 10 weeks, started 36 hours after micro-needling. Cannot find anything to cure them. Desperate. I was not quite over a cold sore when it was done. Could she have inadvertently touched the sore and caused the herpes virus to go into my body and react?

Swimming in salt water after microneedling should be avoided for 10 days to 2 weeks. Your skin is undergoing healing and salt water could be very irritating to compromised skin.  Do wear your sunblock daily to protect that healing skin.
