I had a procedure done last year around December. I had liposuction on my abdomen, flanks. I also had a brazillian butt lift. I have scars up to this date that are noticeable. I had around 12 incisions. On my sides on my buttocks and other areas of my body where lipo was performed. Was it necessary for the Dr. To do so many incisions? How can I get rid of them now? They look brown and I'm light skinned. I'm starting to think that all these incisions weren't necessary..

Hyperpigmentation in an access points for liposuction is a byproduct of inflammation which is a normal part of healing. Usually this phase with time. If the problem lingers the first line of treatment would be a bleaching agent.

treatments for scars.If it is early,
applying silicone gel or steri-strips can be helpful.The silicone gel sheeting or sticks may be
continued for up to 6 months after surgery.If after 6 months the scar is dark or red, you can consider laser to
help improve the color.If the scar is
thick or raised, a DermaPen treatment can help flatten out the scars.Given the amount of options available, it
would be best to consult a physician about what is the best option.

Liposuction scars are permanent and will fade to varying degrees based upon genetics. Sometimes lasers can help.
